Adjusting to the new normal has been a little tricky and full of hassle in these past few months of 2020. Things have changed, the way people meet, eat, and enjoy have changed too. It has been so long that I actually stepped out to meet my friends since there is a constant fear of being exposed to the virus. But if the necessary precautions and strict health protocols are followed, normal life can proceed without much stress.
I had to travel all the way from South Goa to North Goa, which indeed was a planned road trip! We had planned so much for this particular meet. We had to keep in mind the safety of our people and also those who would interact with us. Hesitant due to the current situation out there, our most delayed meeting happened finally for about an hour or two, where we made the most out of the time we had by chatting about the most random things.

My experience and Insights of visiting a cafe during the outbreak of 2020.
The cafe we visited is called Rasa cafe in Panjim, which is a co-working space as well as a cafe. With a view of the newly built Atal Setu bridge and the calm waters of the bay in front, a perfectly ventilated place with a nice air flow.
When we entered the place, after the basic health protocol, the owner welcomed us warmly and asked us about general things.
It has minimalistic designed interior space with handcrafted furniture and some art pieces around. We sat at the cafe space which had the seating arrangement done following social distancing and the serving staff was well equipped and were following health protocols like wearing a mask and gloves for their hands.
Our temperatures were checked at the entrance as well we were given hand sanitizer before entering the space, and yes we took a very basic and important step i.e wearing a mask.
Foodie updates:
After we settled down, we ordered the all new veggie wrap at The Rasa (link). It was a combination of sauteed veggies on a dosa with a layer of hummus spread onto it, making it an absolutely healthy and yummy meal. The hummus had a creamy texture and the overall dish was spread with some fresh salad. This is a perfect pick for breakfast or any other meal as it is wholesome and filling. I ordered bubble iced tea, that I wanted to try it for so long! It’s basically an ice tea served with any choice of milk(almond milk or normal milk) and chewy tapioca balls. This drink originated in Taichung, Taiwan. I also ordered a takeaway chocolate shake that was so yummy. The Rasa offers a range of wholesome meals and refreshing beverages too.I also happened to try their refreshing cooler last time I visited. It was spiced lemon water with some chia seeds.
We choose to make our payments via card to avoid the exchange of cash. Overall, our short experience at the rasa was very good and safe.

How has Covid impacted lifestyle?
Well the overall footfall to the cafe was comparatively less to the last time I visited the cafe. Very less crowd. The cafe has taken an extra set of procedures to ensure safety of people visiting the cafe and also the staff.
If you are travelling for work or just take a day out, Cafe Rasa is definitely safe. Also follow strict health protocols like wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing while visiting any place or travelling, to ensure the safety of everyone.
