Creamy Fettuccine with Butter Saute Mushrooms

Talking Creativity with Creamy Fettuccine!

Creamy Fettuccine with Butter Saute Mushrooms

Lets start the conversation and the recipe with prep for the Creamy Fettuccine,

  1. Chop about 5-6 mushrooms of any type, I used the button mushrooms which are widely available in Goa, You could also use a combination of mushrooms (Oyster Mushrooms, Shiitake Mushrooms etc )

As much as its good to start of with any skill by trying to recreate a piece of content/ art, its always good to find your own voice. You want to stand out in a crowd and not dilute your work right?

You can be inspired by a piece of art or content , but directly trying to replicate is just telling your brain, you do not want to innovate or grow. And whats the point of calling yourself artists if we just blindly end up copy pasting ?

2. Finely chop onion, garlic and another other veggies you would like in the recipe, I have kept mine the classic way! (that’s no veggies )

3. At this stage, get the fettuccine pasta ready by prepping the water with salt, cooking oil and some pepper, Let the water come at a boil, at this stage add in the pasta and cook it until Al Dante, (It’ll take about 10-15 min max)

Since, I got into this whole business hustle lifestyle, ive been following and vibing with a lot of content shared by business tycoons like Gary Vee, Elon Musk, Ranveer Allahabadia and one things that’s common in their advice to budding entrepreneurs is be more original!

4. By now you must be done with cooking the pasta , transfer the cooked fettucine in a bowl of cold water, so the cooking stops and the pasta doesn’t become sticky!

When do we become sticky is when we focus to much on the outcome , when we are trying to convince others and be in everyone’s good books! . That’s when we develop a sticky mindset, not growing and totally focused on how famous we will become or how many followers on Instagram we will get.

All the judgement of being good and perfect all the time is just a roadblock telling us not to go ahead.

5. Lets start cooking the Creamy Fettuccine, take a pan and add some cooking oil, add some finely chopped garlic, onions and some butter, When the onions are golden brown in the luscious butter, its time for the mushrooms to add in the flavor! Wait until the mushrooms loose all the water and add some cream.

Fettuccine made with egg and flour.

6. If the creamy mixture turns too think add, in the the pasta stalk to it and dilute it as per the consistency you are looking at. Not to watery and not to thick, just good enough to coat the fettuccine.

7. Finally add in some grated Parmesan cheese or any cheese that’s available, because working with limited and available resources makes the best use of your skill.

There is no one formula for success! If you are thinking of replicating the strategy that worked for your favorite content creator or photographer or any artist, it might not be same for your journey!

It all boils down to how dedicated are you towards your art and how consistently you follow it. Speaking of personal experiences, yes! I did fall in the trap of comparisons and also the thing of going viral on social media or becoming famous! But what I failed to realize at that time is on social media fame is temporary unless you sustain it through engagement and constantly creating content.

An important question I asked myself is will this make me happy ?

And that when I started to focus on who’s life am I impacting through my content? Am I really happy creating the content I am creating ?

8. By now your pasta must be bubbling delicious! Top it off with some grated Parmesan cheese, some coarsely chopped coriander and some chili flakes if you need a hint of spice. I even ended up sprinkling some oregano!

This recipe is more towards the creamy salty sweet side and less on the spice, so personal improvisations help,

Same goes with being a artist!

Consistency to create is the key to mastering your skill!

That is what is going to make you different and develop a style, you can call your own. And that should be the end goal, knowing yourself and your skill better that yesterday.

I ended up eating it straight of the pan, that’s more fun, the plating of the dish was a photography stunt,
