It’s been really stressful and lonely when it comes to being your own boss, tho it has its own benefits, it’s a very lonely and self-motivating journey!
You have to take care of all the aspects that are easily managed when working in an organization or a company with dedicated employees to a certain job role.
As much as working for myself gives me immense joy, freedom of expression, and flexibility it’s a hectic journey too.
For starters, you are not answerable to anyone, and that’s kind of scary! If you are true to yourselves, it’s good, but there are a lot of times I end up procrastinating for even a month, and since lockdown and the pandemic happened, it’s been a chain reaction of procrastinating and pending work!
Here is a quick recipe that I tried, its been a nighttime go-to recipe especially when you are 70% feeling sick and 40% stressed!
Ingredients
1 piece fresh turmeric root, peeled and grated or 1- 2 tsp of turmeric powder
1 piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated or ginger powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp spice mix (cinnamon, pepper, star anise, elaicchi )
Chopped almonds & pistachios for garnish
Method
- In a saucepan heat about 1 cup of dairy or any nondairy milk over medium-low heat.
- Once small bubbles begin to form around the edges, reduce heat to low. At this stage add the grated turmeric root, ginger root, saffron strands, and spice mix, and give it a nice stir.
- Raise temperature to medium-low and cook, stirring continuously, until fully combined.
- Pour turmeric tea into a mug and garnish it with ground turmeric and chopped nuts
Do give this recipe a try for a quick boost to lift up your mood and specially on sick days.
