An escape to a tropical abode: Oh La La

Do you believe in manifestations ? Or magical coincidences? The visit and landing a project at Oh, La La, Goa , to work on a restaurant food photo shoot was exactly how I would describe it.

My work colleague was randomly texting me work stuff and I precisely remember she bringing to my notice this new restaurant place in the north that was recently launched, and she was serious when she said, “may be we should visit it and discuss any work opportunities”.

And few days fast forward the owner and brand partner Larissa Dsa posted a requirement for working with creatives.

Without having any second thoughts and expectations, I dropped by a long text of why I wanted to work with her on creative projects.

And I don’t know what really aligned in the sky, that we landed a project from Oh, La La!

What would you call this?

I had seen the place on social media and it looked like paradise with the calming backwater flowing nearby and the lush green tropical vibes it gave out.

And in no time, we got started with our most exciting and creatively challenging food photo shoot.

The day of the site visit was when we first visited the place, it was just as expected,

The long wide entry made of a wooden floor and surrounded with tropical plants.

The browns and greens perfectly harmonized and it was so peaceful just being there.

We spent some time gathering all the important details for our project and interacted with the staff members.

The Ambiance

The ambiance at Oh La La is a combination of bohemian and tropical mix, hence is a boutique restaurant . It has lush greens and earthy orange walls. The walls has some murals painted which give a nice aesthetic feel. There are elements of cane in the form of chairs, lanterns and other decor elements. The place has a lot of finer details like dehydrated orange coasters, floral notes etc that add to the overall vibe of the place. The place lights up by evening with yellow glowy lights.

The Food

There are lot of food options from breakfast, brunch, barbecue to dinner. The key dishes and drinks the place offers includes Jumbo Prawns Barbeque, Burrata salad, Lavanza Coffee, Oh, La la special cocktail etc .

The place also offers breakfast options like Fruit Bowls, Scrabbled eggs, Fresh juices etc

Apart from the restaurant, Oh, La La also hosts a lot of artists, singers, Dj’s , firework artist etc and yes a boat ride if you wish to enjoy the sunset with some wine.
