Recently watched the movie named Julie and Julia and I am so inspired right now with the whole concept of cooking a new dish everyday, seems impossible, but who knows what this will lead too. My daily routine does actually involve a lot of clicking and cooking. So why not try a 365 days challenge to cook everyday and click, lets just hope for the best.
Day:1: I cooked the Pasta Aglio e Olio.

What is Pasta Aglio e Olio ?
Pasta Aglio e Olio means pasta cooked in oil and garlic. It is quickn to make and delicious at the same time. A perfect combination! right?
I started off with chopping the basic ingredients that are needed for this dish i.e 4 cloves garlic & finely chopped coriander.
Just to make it more experimenting, I also included finely chopped chilies (or chilli flakes), garlic, crushed peppercorns, onion and spring onion.
#Tip: Remember chopping and keeping all your ingredients ready and nearby is key to a hassle free cooking session also when cooking pasta always save in some pasta stalk.
Lets start!
- Toss some olive oil or normal cooking oil in a pan and add the garlic+ginger+chilli flakes or fresh chilies.
- After slightly golden brown add very little quantity of the pasta water or stalk to the pan. Let it cook for some time (2-3 min).
- Now add the spaghetti into the pan and mix it well.
- Sprinkle in some salt and pepper as per taste.
- Top with a generous amount of grated Parmesan or any other cheese of your choice and finish it with some finely chopped coriader.
Viola ! I loved having this very simple combination of pasta. Wholesome and easy to make with the least amount of ingredients. I sided it with some fried potatoes and onion chips.
